Both of those actresses don't like it though, find it creepy. I did see Marina Sirtis talking about it at a convention back in the day, and she said it was why Deanna's uniform changed as well, she found the interest in her cleavage by creepy young men too much. I've seen Gillian Anderson talking about it in interviews, and she thinks some of those fans are really weird.

Anyhow I think it is scary how people lose touch with reality over these actors, who are just working after all, and earning their living to pay the mortgage, kids school fees etc, just like normal people. It does bother me that some fans don't get that and break all sorts of boundaries being creepy over the actors. Problem is something like a convention can hardly identify or screen those people out.
