I can't really judge since all I have to compare with are various movies -- and compared to them, anything done in RL is bound to look inferior. That said, you look fine to me! I know how hard it can be, but try not to care about what others will think of you and just do what you want to do.

Also, your (Siamese?) cat is adorable! I love how attentive s/he is of you.
