Whenever someone talks about the Fantasy genre I automatically think of these two games. I love them in all their cumbersome and unpolished glory. But the real secret is that I actually prefer them over Diablo & Lord of the Rings (respectively).

I grew up surfing and it's still a huge part of my life. Surfing movies make me cringe because too many newbies try to surf without really getting any instruction or trying to be safe.

Surfing is awesome but I wish the movies would either show safe practice or just stop.

Mari and Asuka feel like a Boys Love (male/male) pairing to me, while Kaworu and Shinji feel like a yuri (female/female) pairing. I haven't seen anyone else feel this way, but (to me) their interactions just feel like gender-reversed versions of popular ship dynamics.

I'm ambivalent about Phoenix vs. Apollo, but I think Trucy is way cooler than Maya. She helps Apollo directly rather than relying on someone else, she seems more mature despite being younger, and her abilities make more sense in the largely supernatural-free setting. She's why I'm not worrying about Athena--a little change can work out well sometimes.
