17. My friends told me that when I first got into it -- the manga is so much better, wah wah, the anime ruined my favorite scene. The SAME scene, for both friends who told me about it. But on watching the scene, I found that it... wasn't really any different. I didn't feel it was that big a deal.

I like the anime. So good for you. (Except for the filler. 40 episodes of wasted space.)

20. GOD YES. That is all.

29. I came up with a Bleach crack ship this way -- a private RP, a random aside, some laughter. Now I shop Kira/Kiyone hard. They've never spoken and both have canon interest in other people.

I'm going to write a fanfic about how they get together. I fail, but I enjoy it.

Well, his blushing around Hinamori when they were younger (not to sound ridiculous after #17, but in the manga Renji also teases him about it, making it more obvious) and the way he literally hurts himself in self-loathing because he tried to fight Hinamori after Aizen's death indicate that he has a canon, if unspoken, interest in her.

Oh, I totally love Kira/Hinamori! I like to think of his interest in her as canon, but am hesitant to say so because I know many people would contest it. I am happy you see it, too (even if you don't ship it).

I do ship it, I'm just mean and usually prefer it one-sided and horrible. ♥

But I think it is pretty canon. Aside from Renji teasing him for it, the incident after Aizen's death clinched it in my mind. I mean, just a collection of facts--

1) Hitsugaya said that Gin would have killed Hinamori "in self-defense" if Kira hadn't gotten between them.
2) Kira did get between them, and he sounded not so much angry as warning when he tried to talk Hinamori down, even shaking his head disapprovingly when she tried to go around him. He wasn't angry until she released her zanpakutou.
3) Kira did not suffer any injuries in his fight with her, and he seemed to be emotionally okay, when we next see him, he is...
3a- Mumbling over and over about how he's "disgusting" for having tried to fight her,
3b- In a straitjacket, even though Hinamori is not,
3c- In a cell with broken furniture, and
3d- Bleeding from a wound to the head.
Since Kira didn't take any injuries in the fight, the conclusion here is that he hurt himself because of this attack of self-loathing. And he didn't even hit her, she didn't have a scratch on her.

So, I know a lot of people would argue that it isn't canon? But I think these people are in denial, and that boy is like, obsessed. XD

I consider his feelings canon myself. I guess the reason I asked the original question is because I was curious if you were talking about Momo or Gin as Kira's "canon" interest. A lot of fangirls think Gin/Kira is canon. I love Kira/Hina, but love a Kira/Hina/Aizen love triangle best (which is what I like to write).

Ohhh, I see. Yeah, I know that people consider Gin/Kira canon, but I think the evidence there is way less... canon than the evidence for Kira/Hinamori. XD Kira->Hina->Aizen is a very excellent dynamic, but Hinamori has a lot of love interests and fun dynamics with all of them, so I enjoy playing with them all, despite my partiality to Hitsugaya/Hinamori. ^_^
