I don't ship them, mostly out of hating Nathan and liking Claire, but that's not a good argument against. She wasn't raised knowing him as her father, you know. It's not the same. In fact, unusually intense, often sexually-charged relationships between long-lost family members are more common than you'd think (http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,3605,956454,00.html).

At this point, I'm actually hoping that the writers are all "Oops! We goofed! Claire was born into a family of circus freaks really, and she's not related to Nathan at all!" Because I can tolerate a lot in fandom, but incest really, REALLY gets to me. I just can't see the justifiability of it at all.

It's not my thing, so I just don't read it - but god fucking damn am I sick of people assuming that "omg hugging and affection!!1" = incest. Guys. Guys. Guys. They are Italian-American. We do that. It does not necessarily mean fucking.

Though I'm not Italian American and we still hug with frequency. My cousins and I constantly say we love each other. We don't mean "we want to get into bed with you." We mean family love.

See, I don't really mind incest - to each his or her own. But I do wish it felt like Heroes fandom had more of a variety. But then, the fandom makes Harry Potter fandom look sane sometimes, and that's... vaguely scary.
