I'm in a Hitchcock class, so we watched it. Now I'm all smitten, and I'm so, so glad we watched it (though the rest of the class was probably bored out of their minds lol).

I totally don't blame you. (Did you manage to find a copy with something vaguely resembling a soundtrack? When I saw it a couple of years back, it was on VHS, with no sound WHATSOEVER. I know it was a silent movie, but most silent movies usually have some kind of accompanying music, at least.)

Hitchcock did some really interesting stuff with it. Plus, Ivor Novello = YUM.

Well, we didn't watch it with audio in class because it's almost never the original music that would have accompanied the film. But I think the copy I have for myself has audio (haven't actually watched it just yet). I know I prefer some music to along with it too, even when I know it isn't the original. :/

And yes, it's incredible how creative it is! Walking on the glass and shaking the chandelier, quite an effect. And Ivor is COMPLETELY yum. Mmmm. 1920s eye-candy.
