I'm not sure how unpopular an opinion this is (though I can see why you would make a secret about it because almost all I see is Dean/Castiel when I run across SPN stuff) as I dropped out of fandom (and quit watching the show) a couple seasons ago, but I felt the same. Never warmed up to the majority of angels, didn't like how much the storyline had started to focus on them, and I enjoyed Castiel more when he was first introduced than later.
