Honestly, I like Jason a lot better than Percy in this series then again, I think most of the major characters from the original aren't being written all that well this time around, but I really like how they're integrating the two myths.

Jason came off a little too perfect for me, and didn't really stick out much. He's kind of the opposite of Leo. I like Jason a lot more than Frank in Mark of Athena, though. For some reason he bugged me in that one.

I do like Leo a lot more, I guess I was just distracted by the old characters a little too much to notice? Though I can see where you're coming from.

There is one little detail about Leo's back story that always bugged me - but probably only because I'm from the place he's supposed to be from, so it sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

Maybe! Percy going on about Hazel's horse's swearing bugged me, too. Seemed weird for a sixteen (or is he seventeen now?) year old kid to care.

Yeah, that *was* a little weird. I mean, I could understand it if he were sheltered/raised in an environment where that was really, really frowned on but...yeah, no.

I did think it was really sweet how Nico kept in touch with his half-sister[? I was never very clear exactly how related they were since one was roman, the other greek], and I did really like the 'look' into how the Aphrodite cabin was working...even if it did make Piper seem a little too...Not perfect exactly, but something was off with the scene.

Piper is also kind of bland sometimes. I think Hazel and Nico are considered half-siblings because the Roman/Greek gods are different sides of the same coin, or something like that. I have this strange feeling that Hazel is going to die again, though. Especially since Frank is pretty much going to die soon, too.
