the same thing happened to me. i got a photo with hugh jackman (who is one of my favorite actors) and it was a VERY hot day, so my face is shiny, my hair is wet with sweat, i'm at an awkward angle where it looks like i have 3 rolls of chins, and i have visible armpit sweat patches.

it's the grossest i have ever looked in a photo, and i'm surprised jackman would have even let me near him. seriously, i look like a gremlin D:

the fact that I looked so completely awful in the pictures I have with my favourite actor are what finally gave me the kick in the ass I needed to join a gym and get my shit together.

It's paid off ridiculously and even though the more recent pictures I have with him don't look too much better (because I can't take a decent pic to save my life) I can see and feel the difference, and it's pretty great. Related to what OP is saying, though, I don't have the sack to tell him even though I know he'd be super happy to know that he was the catalyst for something awesome in my life.
