Heyyy guys-- would it be weird to ask if anybody would like to do IRL meetups? I know this is def constrained by geography, money, time, and obviously interest, but...

I dunno, I guess it would be kind of cool to know if someone around here lives nearish to you? I'd like to meet fellow fans and F!Sers.

What do you guys think?

I'm always up for meeting you guys IRL! ...but as far as I know there are two Danes, one Swede and one person currently living in Finland that are even remotely close to me. (there might be another Norwegian person on here too?)

If any of you guys ever decide to come to Norway I will totally meet up with you though! Heck I have an extra bed and as long as you don't murder me too painfully you can borrow it!

I've actually met with a fellow F!S'er once! Or rather, I had a meetup with two F!S'ers and showed them around the place with my elder sister for a week.

It was awesome. :)

I'd up for it, but idk how easy it would be for me to actually get to one that wasn't at least semi-local.

I always wonder how big F!S is counting the Anons. /slightly OT.

I always wonder how many lurkers there are who never post.

It's always kind of strange thinking about that to me (especially in places where anonymous posting is allowed, but just in general, really)

I know I'm not the only person in the Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky area. If Cincinnati Anon or anyone else nearby wanna hang out I'd be up for it.

I've met at least one person from/because of FS and they were pretty awesome. Not sure how many others are in my area.

I suppose I'd be up for it as long as I knew who else was going! I can get to pretty much anywhere in the continental US, but my timing is always a little iffy... also I don't think anyone here even knows me well enough to want to meet me XD

Right now I'm too much of a broke Canadian to do a far reaching meet-up. I'm pretty sure no one lives around me as well :(

Well, since there's been a fairly unanimously positive response to this, I'll go ahead and offer some vague location details:

I'm pretty much all over the place in New York state (except for Western New York), and if anyone lives in or near the capital area, I'd be totally down with meeting up and hanging out.

There are many people here whom I'd love to meet in person, but somehow I doubt that any of them are in NW Florida.

I've never met anyone off F!S before, but I have met several friends from other various boards and communities. It really depends, but I have no problem if we've talked first, obviously.

I feel like everybody is so far away from each other. I know there was a new hampshire anon once but otherwise I don't think anyone's near me at least.

I'd be up for it if was at biggish conventions like PAX or Comic Con or whatever, but I am poor and speaking out of my ass. Also, I am Canadian in the middle of Edmonton.

It would be cool if the meetup came to me lol except I think I get off on being the only person from here that posts here afaik. There was one other Edmontonian iirc, but they scared the shit out of me.

I was in a small one at Anime Boston 2013. I think conventions or other gatherings would be your best bet: nobody has to give away location and there's a reason pepole from all over might be in one spot.
