That awkward moment when your friend asks you to be a mod in their girl gamers guild, and you feel disingenuous even being there because you identify as non-binary, and you know she'll think of you as a girl no matter what, and if you try reminding her, she'll probably brush it off as another of those weird things you do...but feel like you can't turn her down, and like you're being silly for feeling like you should.

Huh. Well. Thank you for finally pointing out why I have such a weird issue with "girl gamers" groups or guilds. I've only recently realized that I am probably non-binary or genderqueer, so these things are all things I'm still figuring out.

if it bothers you, don't do it. that feeling in the back of your mind won't go away, so it probably won't be much fun for you anyway.

Maybe if you were a mod and openly non-binary, you could encourage other members who are similar or on the fence about joining?
