16. I'm so sick of yaoi. I call myself a yaoi fangirl, but really I'm more into slash. There are very few canon boy love couples that I care about. I think I can count them on one hand. So I'm a yaoi fangirl, that's tire of yaoi. Give me some fresh imaginative slash please!

24. Were I in a manga, my scars would still not look cool -_- I do not get the obsession, you guys are free to have mine x_x

42. I do the same thing ^_^; I assume that everyone is a girl, because fandom just tends to be female. I'm beginning to think that boys don't exist on the internet XD

Regarding the scars: AUGH ME TOO. I'm totally clumsy and always injuring myself, and it does NOT look good and I don't know why ANYONE would want them. :|

I have this lovely little thing called a keloid scar. In comparison to many people's keloid scars, mine is not so horrible. Still, it's raised and inconveniently placed and puts a cramp on a few aspects of my life. It is not awesome and I get pretty annoyed with people who think that scars are cool. Most of the people living with those scars would beg to differ.

IAW your comment on #16. seriously, gravitation is soooooo 13 year old. :B
my OTPs are all slash these days. XD i want some yaoi with decent plot that doesnt revolve around butsecks or cat and mouse raep games plz.

Not that you haven't every right to like or not like anything on Earth, but...

Gravitation is not brand-new so it's not fashionable and that's why you don't like it, or Gravitation is written at the level of a 13 year old person? Excuse me if I ask, but if the first I wouldn't dream to comment on it, but if I read you right with the second hypothesis, may I suggest you read the thing and analyse it? Because it's not what you seem - and please, I'm just reacting to how you worded your comment - to think it is.

Slash is ALL about the 'butsecks', sorry to have to tell you. 85% (90%) of slash is all about who tops and who bottoms. I agree that that has nothing to do with being gay as such, but that's what happens in fanfics.

Give me some fresh imaginative slash please!

oh right. because fans of not!yaoi that write slash are ohsoimaginative and don't fall into trite, cliche and badly written couples.

Re: 16

...nobody said that. If people are writing trite (And they are! x_X), I'm certainly not reading it. I want something good dammit! This is why I end up reading maybe, maybe one of every hundred fics I stumble on. Most of it is crap *sighs*

24. God, seriously. I have surgical scars and I played outside too much scars, and I burn myself with cookware scars, and they kind of piss me off.

...Though I do have these two identical crescent-shaped scars on both elbows from different things, which is kind of awesome.

16. It's American! That makes it better!

So, um, do you actually READ yaoi or slash or do you just have opinions on them?

42. Maybe if you spent some time out of fandom you would realise that men do exist.

[identity profile] forchancookie.livejournal.com 2007-10-06 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
16. It's not that its American. I think it's more because those of us who write in English (generally Westerners) tend to have a different outlook on relationships, gender roles, etc. We're not stuck in those cookie cutter roles. Granted, even a lot of Westerners get stuck in that rut, but for the most part there is the ability to see beyond the strong seme/whiny uke roles.

As for the question, you obviously didn't read my icon or bother checking out my profile. Not that it screams rabid fangirl, but that would be a hearty yes.

42. Most guys tend to steer clear of places in which I dwell. Mwa ha ha ha!
