35. Holy shit, I fucking love Medium so much and fuck all my buddies who think it's only for middle-aged women and would rather watch shitty CBS crime procedural.

I remember last season, the week Joe and his coworkers were taken hostage, there were about seven other "hostage situations" on TV that week as well. Boston Legal, Shark, Raines, and several others, and it was weird. I remember someone innocent, someone the viewers actually cared about died. I remember how beautifully and accurately the police involvement was handled. I remember Jason Schwartzmann and Jake Weber's brilliant performances, desperate and terrified.

And most importantly I remember the weeks and weeks of PTSD, trauma, and therapy, the shows dealt with afterward until the finale, something no show with the balls to do a hostage situation ever does because in the end, the characters just aren't human enough.

And that is why Medium is one of the best things on TV.
