wow, you mean that the only reason women ever dress provacatively is because they want to please the menz and they never, ever, do it because they want to feel sexy and may find it empowering? okay. gotcha

sa

((disclaimer: I'm not saying that dressing provocatively is the only way to feel sexy. all kinds of clothes can make you sexy but some people prefer certain styles over other))

No, I mean women in a stable sexist system find self-esteem in things that also please men, without consciously meaning to please men. But it's not total coincidence, because that's how society evolved.

Does this mean women should stop wearing lipstick and high heels? Hell no, they mean something to us now, whether we actually fuck men or not! But of course it shouldn't be requisite for self-esteem. I find it sad that the implication that the actor's self-esteem depended upon the size of her waistline - all good and fine if you are that skinny, and meet that narrow ideal of sexiness, but the flip side is pretty dark and ugly, and that's why people have a problem with this stuff.

Don't worry, the important thing is that you're above feeling like that yourself and now you can tell all other women about what unwitting tools they are, right?

...you sound like you bring that line out every time someone says something a bit more feminist than you'd like.

If "a bit more feminist than you'd like" means "I'm not not like all you other stupid women. I'm better," then you're correct.

and I have no desire to comment on the entire discussion, but it is fucking obvious this photoshoot was aimed at men of all age groups to get their dicks wet.
Dressing sexy is one thing, posing like that with a "I'll suck your dick" face is only 'empowering' because our society tells women that it is.

But the reality looks like this: men see this and go "hahaha what a slut, I'd fuck her in the ass" and not "wow, this woman loves her body! Good for her!"
