Woah, woah, that was not what I meant at all and I'm sorry if that's how it read. What I meant was that if you're indifferent to those things then that's a perfectly fine reaction to it. But if someone is getting all hot and bothered by how much they "don't care" about it then they clearly DO care. That makes me wonder about their compassion if they can't just let these people have their happiness/grief without being personally bothered by it under the guise of not caring. It's more about the way they present their opinions. Like it's not worth feeling bad about someone who died because they personally didn't care about them. It's one thing to feel that way yourself, but it's another to expect everyone else to not care because you (general you) don't care.

Again, I apologize for my poor wording. I hope this clears it up and doesn't make me look even more like an asshole.
