Re: COMPLAINTS THREAD
(Anonymous) 2013-08-04 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)Just as an aside: I hate it when people tell me to focus more on my life outside my job, so that I can see my job as just the means to finance my real life. That's a great mentality, but seriously, it's still 8 hours of your day that you have to spend doing something you hate, which is most of your waking hours. I get home at 5:30, cook and eat dinner by 6:30, and go to bed around 10, so I get at most 3.5 hours out of the day to spend on my "real life." And I'm really lucky that I'm single and don't have children, or else that might be a whopping .5 hours to myself.
Ugh, why can't I be one of those lucky lucky people who grew up knowing exactly what they wanted to do, now get to do it, and love their job so much they can't wait to get to do it every day?
This has nothing to do with money or class. It's got everything to do with not feeling like what I do with my life matters in any way.
I need to watch "Office Space" again.
