I'm just here for the wailing and gnashing of teeth I expect to eventually commence because the new Doctor is neither nonwhite nor female.

As far as negative reactions go I feel like there's more "but he's not hooottttt" going on then anything. Most people who wanted a poc or woman pretty much knew it wasn't going to happen, not this time anyway.

But mostly I'm seeing positive reactions.

There has been some of that but most people didn't care about those things to begin with, even some of the people who said they did. A female Doctor could work but everything we know about Time Lords means the Doctor will always be white.
