I'm the opposite. I curse more online than I do in real life. In fact, to the point that I generally get people reacting like the anon but in real life.
Yay opposite buddies.

I just can't swear around older people who I work with. It's weird.
Yay opposite buddies :D

Which I bet is funny for everyone here because of how much I curse here.
Your story is funny. Did the girl say anything? Did the others wise up? Question. Was it also slightly demeaning? Unless that's me reading far too into it.
No, I get you. Older people automatically register to me as "authority" so you want to make a good impression.
Yeeeaaaaaaahhhhh~

She just looked at me odd. That was about it. She was new. My co-workers just bugged me that one time, then let it go. They were all nice actually (except for my boss. But she was a bitch who everyone hated). So, I didn't find it demeaning. Just hilarious.
Oh, another time a different boss (at a different job) said "shit" around my cubicle and he actually came to me and apologized for his language. I just blinked at him, muffled my laughter, and said no worries. I didn't know the proper response.
(his smile does things to me. idk why.)

*Snort* Ahaha~ Wow. I don't think I would have known what to do either.
