These people sound like dickwads. I mean, are they incapable of reading publication dates?

Anyway, I know that it's easier said than done, but...try not to focus on the shit that you get. Focus instead on the responses that you get from people who dig what you've done. In any fandom, when you write for a particular ship, you're bound to get detractors. You've got to do your best to shrug them off and to keep doing what makes you happy. A lot of asshole out there would like fandom to be a hive mind, but it isn't and it shouldn't be.
