I technically have two phones- I have an old LG Cosmos I've had for 5+ years now, and an iphone. The only thing is I basically only use the iphone as an ipod because it's not currently connected to our plan so it doesn't have phone service.

As much as I would like a smartphone, I don't want to pay the exorbitant bills so I really just want a basic phone good for texting- but even that is hard to come by nowadays.

Thank you for the perspective. Although that sucks, I'm kind of glad to not be the only person who feels as though the phone market isn't exactly offering everything it could be. I've got used to smartphones because of some circumstances, but there's still a part of me that has very little interest in phone-y things that aren't texting. Most things I've been looking at seem far too flashy for me, unfortunately, but the more basic phones don't offer quite enough for me either. =/

Hopefully prices will come down some day, and in the meantime, long live your LG! :)
