When I say "canon", I choose the four books as written by Thomas Harris.

It's not that hard to grasp.

I choose whatever conveniences or appeals to me. Specifically the movie and film versions of Silence of the Lambs, most of the Red Dragon book and bits of the film mostly the dialogue bits that make me laff, Manhunter, the tv show, a frankenstein combo of Hannibal's book and movie version, and whatever details about Hannibal Rising I pick and choose.

And maybe some interviews.
