Tell that to fandom about people such as Cassandra Clare.

Dunno, if they're really horrible I'd rather know about it, Polanski for instance.

*shrug* Her work isn't that great to begin with and a lot of the bad things about her directly relate to her work, such as plagiarism. Which is something I wouldn't want to support. But just knowing someone used to be in an old fandom of yours is different. That has nothing to do with their work.

Also, my advice applied to the future, not to things they already know.

If something directly affects their work then I would want to know but if their work has no connection then I don't want to know. For Polanski it affects his work for me.
