Head-desking forever!

I know I show my age, but this is physically painful and English is not even my own native language. Not just the original error, but the fact that she apparently did not feel it warranted editing the title of her fic?!

Plus I suppose no one dared mention it in the comments (probably for fear of starting flame war - which is what happened the last time I pointed out some similar thing to an author as nicely and offhandedly as I could: suddenly lots of anons starting using scatological terms at me to 'defend' the author I suppose, apparently not realizing they made her look like a creep instead).

I am all for not saying anything when you do not have anything nice to say, but fandom has reached 'The king has no clothes' fairytale land by overdoing the political correctness and fear of hurting the delicate sensibilities of fic writers. And to think that most authors still don't understand why so many readers never leave comments and then get all huffy about being under-appreciated...
