I got into Shakespeare because of "Gargoyles" and Egyptian mythology because of "Stargate SG1"

SG1 had the Asgard and a little gray dude they called Thor. They had a lot of races messed up by the bad guys posing as gods from their religions.

Gargoyles had Puck, Macbeth and a ton of other Shakespeare references. AND it had King Arthur and the isle of Avalon.

It's because of the above two shows that I'm now an archaeologist. :)

I would have so much respect for someone I met who said they got into their career because of SG1! I think it's awesome when people get into a career because of a fun show. ^^ (Like that famous story of David McCallum being at the White House and a secret service agent being all "I am in this career because of you :D")

I got into Egyptian mythology because of 'The Mummy' and 'The Mummy Returns.' I regret nothing.

I believe I got interested in Norse mythology through a manga as well.

Me too. I really wanted to be an Egyptologist after the movies came out. I ended up being a librarian.
