Uh, interracial relationships aren't only white/other. It's certainly possible, since we know nothing about Cecil's race, that he and Carlos might not be an interracial couple, but if we're widening the possibilities so far that Cecil might be eldritch, then the odds of him being exactly Carlos' race are relatively slim. (Although I will grant if he is some eldritch horror from beyond time and space that would more accurately be interspecies.)

DA but I don't think they were implying he had to be white for it to be interracial. I think most people assume Carlos is Hispanic (though he doesn't have to be) and Cecil could be, too.

One fic I read suggested he might have Native American in him, which would explain his incessant hate of the Apache Tracker.

I haven't read the fic, but I saw some fanart of Cecil using Evan Adams from Smoke Signals as inspiration, and while I do enjoy gangly blond Cecil, I can't (and don't want to) unsee this.
