Re: Those who got over depression

[personal profile] shortysc22 2013-08-08 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
I used to get bouts of panic attacks every two years or so from the time I was 14 until I was 22. I'd be hysterical, yelling, crying, hyperventilating without knowing what would set me off. The worst round happened when I was 20 and I started seeing a therapist for a year and a half.

After I graduated college at 21, I had one small bit but I hadn't needed to see a therapist. Every so often, I'll get depressed again but I just manage to say "tomorrow is a new day" and i try and find different people to hang out with who don't make me feel bad. I have cut out a lot of toxic people from my life, but I'm a better person now for it.

I hope you're feeling just like this today and just take a deep breath, tomorrow is a new day and who knows what it will bring. Hang in there! We're always here to listen!
