I am generally against any sort of "fandom elitism" in any fandom. it's become a battle of belittlement, instead of a supportive thing. I mean, sure, I was fine with people in fandom trying to get newbies to read the LotR trilogy if they'd only seen the movie, or gave peeps comic recs after they were drawn in by the MCU.

Shaming someone for HOW they came to love something is just ridiculous. Be happy they found something to love. Everyone walks a different path in life, even when it comes to fandoms. -_-
