Did anyone watch it? What are your thoughts on it?

I read a lot of the comments, and I noticed that a lot (not all, mind you) of the negative comments were from women commenters, and a lot of the positive ones were from guys.

Personally, I think it was one of his worst reviews. It was painfully obvious that he hadn't watched much of the actual serious, and his gripes about it were kind of insulting/didn't make sense. Sailor V was Venus, and he'd have known that if he'd done some research. Calling Serena a "dumb slut", because she wears a leotard didn't make much sense either. (I guess ballerinas are "sluts", too?) It left me feeling a little offput, like it was light slut-shamming for something that isn't even that revealing.

He obviously didn't look that deeply into the source material, so I'm wondering why he even did it in the first place.

I haven't watched him in a looooong time, but I know he does/did(?) things that are requested by fans. Maybe this had been requested so much that he said "fuck it, here you go!"

I guess that could be it. A shame, too. He just spends the episode slut-shamming the scouts, talking about his penis (literally. There's a skit with his talking penis in it) and flails about Japanese age of consent laws.

From your description, it almost seems like he's being sarcastic. The age of consent thing seems purposefully snide. This is just is just speculation. I know he's shriek-y and flail-y, or used to be, but from your description it seems like he's being sloppy and disgusting in mocking.

Maybe...? It starts with him doing his shouting bit about how he didn't know she was fourteen. Then he keeps going on about how he thought they were in their 20's, and then he goes on a long speech about age of consent laws there. Oh, this part is good, but it doesn't matter because this part makes it bad, oh but this part is good, but no, this part makes it bad. It's a pretty long segment. He seemed serious to me, but I guess you'll have to watch it to see who's right!

I think you should watch and decide for yourself. Having your own opinion is better than secondhand internet opinions... in my opinion.

The only problem is I haven't watched NC is a loooong time and I know nothing about Sailor Moon. So, my opinion would suck anyway.

Well, here's what he didn't know. The scouts wear a leotard +school girl outfit because the author wanted the young girls in that age group to be able to identify with the scouts. They weren't there for male fanservice. And no, wearing a miniskirt doesn't make a girl a slut.

Sailor V is Sailor Venus. She was awakened before Serena, and that's why there are games and whatnot about her, because she's a well known 'real life' superhero.

It's queen Beryl, like the gem, not Barrel, like the-you know.

They live in Tokyo. So if there was a monster attacking Tokyo, Serena would actually be fighting it. His joke fell flat if you know this!

There are five seasons, not six.

The pen doesn't change Serena into "anything", it can only change up her hair/clothing. As in, it creates a disguise for her, it can't change her into Godzilla.

I don't know anything either. I just thought the review was fine.
