I enjoyed it, as someone who loves the books. That said, my biggest gripe with the movie is how they treated Selena. She was so out of character, and I don't understand why she was on the boat in the first place. They aren't supposed to know she's a spy until much later in the series, and even then she wasn't evil. She's supposed to be good friends with Clarisse, and her death/redemption in the last book is pretty important. I'm really disappointed they did that.

There were some other big changes, one being that the prophecy now says the child of the big three will fight to get to twenty, instead of sixteen. I understand why they had to, what with the actors being in their twenties, so I'm okay with that. They did leave out Circe, which would only really matter if they plan on doing a Heroes movie. I think Clarisse was spot on, and I'm glad they even kept the zombie soldier ship in. Tyson was good, too. He was a bit more...literate than he is in the books, but they did keep his innocence. And I'm very happy it ends with Thalia being revived.

All in all, I hope they make a third movie. I don't know if they will, though, it seems to be getting really bad reviews. :(

That didn't stop them...took them...what, three years, but still. I'd love to see The Titan's Curse as a film!

I hope so too...but considering how they seem to keep butchering things I'd be a little worried about how they'd turn out.

I was kind of surprised they didn't make any joke or mention for why Annabeth's hair was now blonde, instead of brown. I'm glad they gave her, her real hair color back, but yeah. It's kind of sad, because I like how they handled Luke and Clarisse, and even Grover is warming up to me (Though I hope they keep his search for the Wild/Pan) But I hated what they did with Selena.

I shouldn't have expected any different, but I was disappointed as soon as I saw Clarisse was slim and conventionally pretty in the trailer... That among other things, I wasn't really planning to see the movie anyway, but if they fucked up Selena then I definitely won't. Dammit.

She's in a small scene. Basically, her, Ethan Nakamura, and Chris Rodriguez are on the Andromeda (You know it's them because Annabeth whispers who they are to Percy). They go to spy and she's angrily complaining about how long it took for Luke to get Kronos' body. And that's her only lines.

Silena's 100% evil, no explanation whatsoever? I loved her in the books, so that's really off-putting. Guess I'll check out a couple more reviews more deciding to go out and see it.

Ugh, I really would've rather they left her out completely. Thanks for sharing that though.
