The Conjuring

Inspired by the Pacific Rim threads: did you see it? Did you like it, was it as scary as you expected. Wasn't that fucking doll creepy as hell?
I myself spent much of the movie with my ears covered so I wouldn't have to hear that jumpscare tensiony music which scares me more than the actual visuals but I thought it was great.
Apparently they're planning to make a franchise of it, which could be good? Maybe.

I thought it was pretty good! I tried to keep my expectations low going in but failed pretty miserably in doing so, so I was a bit disappointed that it didn't produce more screams and tears. But still, I don't regret spending money to go see it. XD

I laughed my ass off. NO ONE WOULD KEEP A DOLL LIKE THAT. And the part at the end where she dances on the ceiling while in the chair? lmfao!

Spoilers

Me and my bestie are big fans of Insidious and therefore we couldn't wait to see The Conjuring and - I don't think it lived up to the hype.

It started out nice and creepy. In my opinion, the best scenes were the ones with the thing in the wardrobe at night and the little girl sleepwalking.
But it all became ridiculous when the woman got posessed and flew around on her chair. I couldn't stop laughing. It was just weird and dumb and ruined the mood of the movie.
Also, I don't believe in any gods or demons. I guess people who do will find the ending scenes creepier than me.

The spoilers in this thread are the only reason I'm going to see this movie now. It better be as dumb fun as it sounds.
