I don't have a lot of money either -- terminally unemployed, on top of being deaf. I just find it baffling that some people straight up never buy any entertainment ever. And I'm confused at the mindset behind the secret which basically implies that since they never buy movies they have to rely on subtitle sites they don't "trust."

I'm going to chime in and just say I'm an incredibly conservative person with money. That said, I love foreign films and just check them out of the library. My library system is amazing and I can request any movie/TV show within the system, they send the DVDs to my home library and I just pick them up there.

So there's always that option too.

Pity I live in buttfuck nowhere but good libraries are a treasure indeed. What a socialist concept.

Sorry - fine, if you want to go without vital things to keep you healthy in order to buy DVDs, of all things (assuming you actually have to do this) - but for you to find it ~BAFFLING that others scratching to survive do this??? UM OKAY

*don't do this, etc

I love the passive-aggressive sarcasm and the snide "lol u not rly poor" as if I don't have to regularly decide between buying a $15 game and feeding myself for the week, which is doubly difficult because I don't even have a fridge or a stove. If you weren't interested in debating the point just say so.

It's kind

I don't know how poor you are or didn't. When you say you find it ~baffling that a poor person might choose food or non-ripped clothes over DVDs, be prepared for raised eyebrows.
