I think the point might be that Will 'keeps going' to his detriment. When you're sick as a dog, it's really better to deal with it than just...ignore it.

I find a lot of commonality with will Graham. But especially during this scene.

His character arc was like my first year of grad school in so many ways, including eschewing help and ignoring my health problems. Until I passed out and had a seizure in class, and ended up in the emergency room. I'm still not sure exactly what caused it, but in general seizures aren't great.

I don't feel vindicated for my life choices by seeing this, but I do feel slightly comforted. If Will Graham can keep going, so can I.
