Alan Rickman, what? Is there context to that photo?

Alan Rickman appeared like that in Dogma. He's an archangel, he spontaneously appears in the heroine's bedroom and, to show that he has no interest in raping her, he drops his trousers and (IIRC) comments that he's like a Ken doll down there. I don't remember him producing an actual Ken doll at that point, so maybe it was a jokey photo taken at the time.

It always bothers me when cartoon characters are drawn without nipples because it just looks -off-. Sometimes I forget that people think they are obscene. :(

i remember reading somewhere that this whole convention of nipple-less-ness started way back when resolution wasn't so good, so trying to draw them in would look funny. the newer anime where nipples are drawn on topless men are still pretty rare, though... psycho-pass definitely has it, at least.

I heard they weren't included so they didn't travel around their chests with all the movement. And considering that you can find anime where people's facial features wander around their face, that's probably a sound decision. Which is more freaky? No nipples or wandering nipples?

The fanservice doesn't register as fanservice to me because they all lack nipples (and packages). It's like looking at a Ken doll. What's so hot about that?

I was expecting gravity defying ballsacks. Pretty sure my friends just overadvertised this anime to me.

I think the lack of nipples is just a conventional expression of style in anime, similar to big eyes or hair in all colours of the rainbow. Some animes break away from the usual tradition and have a different drawing style, with characters who have regular hair and nipples, and some don't.

idk the lack of nipples bothers me but I do like how buff they are. I agree that I wish they had like. Noticeable dicks/ballsacks, though. I mean really.

But then again the real fanservice for me in this show is Gou, so...
