Teacher-student relationships are my thing, but 234 episodes?.. I'm incompatible with any series longer than forty episodes (unless it's an adaptation of a book). Pity.

Haha, you can watch just a few episodes with them and still like it, I think. IT's an ensemble show so some episodes focus on these guys and some on others. Season 10 episode 16 is the best Ducky'n'Jimmy episode :D

Shitty teaches and worse bosses almost made my abandon my dream career. Their sweet mentor/student relationship is the only thing that gives me hope that you CAN find people you like in a job you love.

I just love the intergenerational-friendship aspect of it, where a 30-something guy straightforwardly calls an 80-year-old guy his best friend. TV needs more of that. Like Sarah Jane and the kids on Sarah Jane Adventures. :D

This comes from your Sarah Jane comment, but a couple of my really good friends refer to me as their love-child from time to time, because I was born the same year they started hooking up/dating (they only dated for a few years, but stayed friends since then). And I'm not that young, either.

So basically I would love to see more of that, too.
