I'm usually cool with the many and varied interpretations of Cecil's appearance, but I really dislike the idea of him being Native American and that being the reason for his hatred of the "Apache Tracker". It implies the only reason someone would could or should be offended by the appropriation of Native culture is if they are Native American themselves.
I think it makes the joke less "The Apache Tracker is a racist embarrassment," and more "Minorities are so sensitive."
