A Story About You is my favorite as well. There is just something super creepy about it.

And your story sounds like something you'd hear about in the SCP Foundation. D: But it has some of that Lovecraft vibe, which is probably why it reminded you of Night Vale.

You know...I wonder if that other planet has something to do with the Sandstorm?

Maybe, but I think the Sandstorm was something closer to earth in the Paranatural scale, though I will admit ever since I've heard Cecil's description of the Desert Bluffs's recording studio I've been craving for some fic about the town in general.

I just want more horror fic!!!!
