Yeah, the students probably wouldn't care unless you've got someone who really doesn't like you. But the parents might raise hell.

OP: Have you met students? Two problems:

a) they have a bad day, and use something against you. You're screwed.

b) they're chatty little buggers. They go home and tell their parents everything, whether it happened to them or not. You sometimes gets vicarious complaints from students about things you've done.

But in the end, yes, it's the parents who can make things a problem...
