I got my first tumblr follower ever (been there a while), and now I'm all socially awkward and not sure what to do because I'm boring and no one follows me and that's really not why I'm even there, but she seems nice and I just want to be nice back and whelp. Socially awkward.

Reblog stuff. I track a gazillion tags for things I like and some make text or pictures posts about things I like. I don't post overly personal stuff.

I mean, just do what you were doing. They followed you for a reason.

Yeah I got like 300 followers from one post I made and then I've just steadily lost some, gaining one or two every month. I have no idea why people follow me, I honestly don't. I don't say anything interesting and I mostly reblog.

When I get the notification that someone followed me, I go to their blog and send a quick ask, like "Thanks for following, feel free to drop me an ask if you ever wanna chat", then keep doin what I'd been doin.

This is what I do! I think it's the best way to let them know they are important to you somehow (they may never respond, but I think it's nice to thank tem).
