Thank you for the good wishes, they mean a lot!

I live in a country with free healthcare but my concern with going to see a doctor is that a. they are notoriously bad when it comes to mental health - if you're unlucky enough to get someone unsympathetic you'll get laughed out of the place or just given antidepressants you don't need and b. from what I've read, BPD is very easy to misdiagnose and once that's in your medical history it doesn't come out and can cause all sorts of future complications with job applications, adoptions etc. :/

I'm a bit scared of experiencing one of those until I'm fairly certain I've diagnosed myself correctly (though that's easier said than done, I know!)
