The Hollows / Rachel Morgan Series - Spoilers

So, a few weeks back there was a "guilty pleasures" thread and someone brought up this series of books as a replacement to the Anita Blake series.

Started reading them. I'm loving the books so far, but I can see why it was labelled a guilty pleasure. It feels like I really shouldn't like these and I can't put my finger on why. Anyone reading these? Thoughts?

Also... Finished Book 2 today and was VERY unhappy by what happened to Ivy... 8(

Jenks is my favorite character!

I really like these books (Clint Eastwood titles, woo!). But I stopped before the last couple. The writing style seemed to change at the relationships between the characters changed, and it started feeling forced. Like maybe she was ready to move on to a new series and penname. I'll still go back and read the first ones, though.

I have read all of them so far, and I really enjoyed them. However, I read them all in a row, so I don't particularly remember what was from which book. What didn't you like about what happened with Ivy?

I enjoy this series more than the Anita Blake books, but yeah, they're not perfect. Rachel's "Eeeeeew, lesbians!" reaction annoys me, and while the books are fun, most of the characters don't have much depth.
