Yeah, it has to be said: in a world in which top level sport tends to be incredibly corrupt, the Olympic committee is almost unparalleled in its level of corruption and not-giving-a-shit (the only comparable body is FIFA, which is at least usually funnier in its outright corruption).

The idea that they would care even slightly about this whole thing, or would make the slightest move to change it, as long as they're still making money, is probably unrealistic. Even if you got enough signatures for them to notice, Putin would just pour bundles of natural gas money into the pockets of the head honchos, and it'd keep on the way it is. And the worst part is, there's really nothing any of us can do. It's absurd.
