I saw "lemon" in the summary for a fic on ao3 and didn't know whether to laugh or be annoyed.

...the people who use those labels are still around? Whhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.

Yeah. Lemon and lime still pop up every once in a while. I know to avoid fics with those descriptors. (I also avoid people warning for "yaoi" in non-anime fandoms.)

That is so weird.

I bet you wouldn't want to read them. Old school stuff generally does not give me confidence in your fic considering who used to use those raters.

Yeah, I don't read people who warn for slash either.

What's lime?

R rated, basically. Once upon a time there was a whole citrus scale as an alternative ratings system.

When you put it like that, it makes me feel old for getting into fandom when citrus was all the rage. I remember reading an "orange" rated fic once.
