(Anonymous) 2013-08-13 03:14 am (UTC)(link)Why do people care about sports? Because it's a challenge to the human body. Much like math and music is a challenge to the human mind. It's not just about hitting a ball with a stick, much like being a musician isn't just plucking a string with your fingers.
Sports show the ways people can push and challenge themselves. The Olympics is basically just a show for it. It's not perfect, obviously, but it's not something horrific.
