I never shipped them, so I'm happy they didn't end up together.

30 Rock had a great ending.

I never shipped them either, so I definitely agree with you on that part. I missed the last few seasons, though, because I couldn't bring myself to watch after that whole Tracy Morgan thing, so I still don't know how the show actually ended. What happened, if you don't mind my asking?

30 Rock basically ends because TGS is finally getting canceled. Liz got married to a guy named Criss earlier in season 7 and they adopted two kids who are basically mini-Jenna and mini-Tracey.

Oh yeah and in case you care, Jenna married Paul earlier in season 7 . And Jack and Avery had gotten divorced back in season 6.

C&P what happens in the epilogue of the finale from wikipedia: "One year later, Pete has faked his own death and started a new life, but is found by his wife; Liz is producing Grizz's new sitcom Grizz & Herz, and has taken her children to work; she has also stayed in touch with Tracy, whose father has finally returned from getting cigarettes; Jenna is attempting to steal a Tony Award from Alice Ripley; Jack's creation of the see-through dishwasher has led him to his lifelong dream job: CEO of GE, and he is still friends with Liz. In homage to the St. Elsewhere finale, an immortal Kenneth holds a snow globe containing the Rockefeller Center, as he hears Liz's great-granddaughter's pitch for a show based on the stories Liz had told her about working at TGS."

Yeah man, I don't know: they both seemed to want/enjoy such different things from sex. I just don't see them being in any way compatible and hearing about Jack and Liz have TERRIBLE sex together would not be fun for me? And of course the show would've had like YEARS of them being super awkward about it. Ugh.

(Maybe I'm just still burned by the 30 Rock fic where they get together and they acted like Jack was this SEXUAL GENIUS who could magically make Liz "get over" her "issues" with sex.)

amen to that. and personally, i always liked that they were just friends without the possibility of ever getting together. it was nice seeing a male/female friendship on a tv show without awkward sexual tension, or a "will they or won/t they?" plot.
