Lol I was actually dragged to her concert with a friend several months ago (I wasn't really interested at all, but they didn't want to go alone and paid for my ticket) and I ended up thinking it was the best concert I'd ever been to.

My experience was the exact opposite: paid lots for the ticket, spent the whole day getting there, very much wanted to go and hated it ;)

What happened?

I found out the price you pay for a concert and the efforts implied to attend influence your opinion a lot.
I know I ended up giving up on an artist partly because his gigs were mediocre and getting worse, and also because the fans intensity made queueing necessary and pointless at the same time.

But obviously, if I pay through the nose for a show and it ends up being half-arsed, I tend to resent the artist. While if it's a cheap show, well, I get value for my money easily.

Yep, that's what happened here.

To me it seemed like Gaga spent a third of the time talking about it's awesome to be queer (I mean yeah, but she was kind of preaching to the choir there and it really looked like just fishing for applause after a bit) and how her teacher told her she sang terribly, a third of it was her changing the costume behind the scene which really took a lot of the momentum away, and the last third was her singing.

I enjoyed the Fame-whatever tour concert I went to (in 2010), also one of the best concerts I'd been to.
