The title has been terrible since 2008, but it was easier to ignore before now because I could still enjoy Spider-man in other books he appeared in (team books, etc). Now I can't because uh, it's fucking Doc Ock.

He did? Shit. I haven't been reading it aside from some Scans Daily posts. She didn't report this to any of Spidey's super buddies? You think that would be way too radical for not Peter to explain away. Also not cool, didn't they learn with Doctor Light making a villain a rapist doesn't make them a better villain just makes the comic uncomfortable to read.

He didn't rape her. There was definitely a lot of skeeviness because they went on dates and kissed (while he was in Peter's body), but they didn't actually have sex. I mean, it's still morally repulsive, but it's not rape.

As someone who LOVED Ultimate Spider-Man/Peter Parker and feel that he had SO much more stories to tell, my heart aches whenever I think of the lost potential and dynamics. Like, Peter/Johnny/Bobby/Gwen living under the same roof? I don't think I would have ever gotten sick of those 4 living together and driving Aunt May insane.

That said, Miles is amazing and you really should give it a chance. UCS is legit the best series that you can buy right now.
