Ok, so I finally figured out Tumblr and I must say that I kinda like it and that I no longer think it's just for "infantile idiots who get off on the instant gratification of likes and reblogs" and it is possible to have a conversation there.

Most people who complain about conversation aren't saying it's 'impossible' but impractical and hard to do with strangers [and thus really cuts down how much is possible].

I don't care what most people are complaining about, this is my apology ;)

I mean nothing beats LJ conversation (especially that NEW POST thing that appears) and Tumblr is still lacking compared to that, but it has other perks that make up for it.

It's just different, it's not worse, can't believe it took me this long to realize, but I did.

I've always liked Tumblr. And even thought it's not, like, impossible to have a conversation, I always kind of felt like that wasn't really the point? It's a great platform for sharing pictures, links, and assorted snippets.

I like tumblr. It's something to entertain me and I don't want to have I depth conversations all the time. Sometimes, especially after work, a persons want to look at art and just read latest fandom things XD not so infantile just a different medium
