SaltyBet

Anyone else gotten into Saltybet? It's kind of incredible to me how addictive it is. There's just something about the incredibly bizarre fights and betting fake money that's just weirdly addictive. Also, it's a great feeling being on the right side of an upset - I made like 1200 salt dollars off the Angel Ryu vs Sandman fight yesterday off of going all in with 19, it was incredible.

For anyone who hasn't heard of it, Saltybet is a site where you can bet fake money on a 2D fighting game (MUGEN) where both fighters are controlled by the AI. And it's really more fun than it has any right to be. It's at saltybet.com, you pretty much just sign up, look at the contestants and start betting fake money - the odds are based on who the favorites are, which you learn to get a feeling for after a while. Fair warning, there's also a twitch chat room on the page which is occasionally entertaining but also frequently as dumb and vulgar as you'd expect a chat room full of 4chan people and redditors to be.

Also, it's important that you know this: the most important rule of Saltybet is that you always go all in on DBZ.

The second most important rule of Saltybet is that you never bet on DBZ.
