i don't really see how height difference = automatic familial relationships, personally

I could understand if the secret was about age differences, but height..??

Seriously. And height =/= age either. One of my original character couples are five years apart, and the older man is about five or six inches shorter than the other, and they DEFINITELY don't act like family (bar the snarking, but fighting is usually foreplay to them).

Yeah. I'm very tiny, and as a result, most people I date are significantly taller than I am. It's not a weird familial thing at all, it's a "so you're really short" thing.

No kidding. My first boyfriend was a foot and four inches taller than I was -- and younger by six months. My third boyfriend (six years later) was a foot and two inches taller than me, and older by seven years.

I like taller guys, and that can often translate into my writing. *shrugs* It doesn't necessarily indicate an age difference.
