I hate Flynn and the stupid dog!horse. Incredibly unpopular opinion in my corner of fandom ;)

That's one thing I'm getting tired of very quickly, is the idea of dog!horses.

FUCK YES THANK YOU. It's my biggest pet peeve. I rant about animals not acting like animals all the time. So far Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron/Black Beauty(1996 WB)/The Black Stallion/National Velvet are only horse movies that haven't pissed me off. Note how they're all horse-centric. Note how only one is an animated film.

I mean, horses can be trained like dogs to play dead/roll over/sit but they don't SNIFF THE GROUND LIKEA BLOODHOUND

Oh man, I'm so happy I'm not alone in this! I'll never understand the fandom's love for that fucking horse. It's an awful character with a terrible joke (the horse is acting like a dog...ha ha ha?)

I agree with this.

Also, I didn't get how all of a sudden she was love with him. And, I haven't seen the movie in a long time so maybe I'm just not remembering. But, like, we get a montage of Belle falling in love with the Beast, Aladdin and Jasmine take a magic carpet ride and also he's stupidly and earnestly charming, Ariel just really likes humans, okay, and Nala and Simba were old friends. I remember the romance in Tangled feeling tacked on and hollow.

See, I didn't even remember the gay bar scene. How did I forget that? And, yeah, I guess I might fall in love with a guy who saved my life.

Well, she saved him in that scene (she sang and it lit up her hair and they swam out using the light) but I guess he got her out of prison in the first place so they saved each other.

I hate Flynn and his dog!horse too.

Which is a shame, because I wanted to like Tangled more than I did. Flynn and his stupid horse changed too much of the movie from "enjoyable" to "barely tolerable".
